After the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection, Rep. Andy Kim went down on his hands and knees to clean up the debris left behind by Donald Trump supporters who stormed the U.S. Capitol. His action went viral and became a national symbol.
One of the Republicans seeking to challenge Kim, D-3rd Dist., was there too. But he was on the side of the protesters. And last week, he mocked Kim’s action in a tweet.
Mr. President. You called. The cavalry is coming. On 1/6/21, millions of us will show up and stand with you. We come from all walks of life - not as Republicans, but as Patriots prepared to defend the beautiful American Republic at all costs. #stopthesteal@ali@realDonaldTrump
Our Republic is under attack from the inside. Many “public servants” have sold their souls, and in doing so have sold our way of life. Communism WILL NEVER flourish here. On Jan 6th, we make that abundantly clear. We’re coming and there is NOTHING. YOU. CAN. DO. TO. STOP. US. pic.twitter.com/SJmdbIHWst
